| Ahoy Seafarers and Landlubbers alike! This B&B is located on the harbor of historic Fairhaven, MA. The quiet residential neighborhood boasts ties with Captain William H. Whitfield who rescued the young boy, Manjiro Nakaham, the first Japanese to live in America and brought him back to Whitfield's home in Poverty Point. Captain Joshua Slocum, the first to circumnavigate the world solo, restored his vessel the Spray at Poverty Point. The B&B offers the seafaring guests a 75' dock for arrivals, quiet outdoor areas where you can watch the fishing vessels and tug boats on the working waterfront or play croquet. This B&B accommodates guests and captains and crew of vessels being repaired at the local shipyards. The seafaring guests are welcome to bring their dinghy to the B&B dock. Slip your kayak from the float or just watch the whaleboat crews race by. Livingroom with TV and view of the harbor. Room #1 the "Harbor View" has a Queen bed and room #2 the "Skylight" has also a Queen bed, camp cot also available for an extra person, child only, (extra fee applies). Both rooms share a bathroom with tub and shower. Foldaway crib available in room #1 or room #2. Internet/Laptop available to Guests. A friendly Golden Retriever resides at this B&B.
